You can choose to study Chinese in Yuanyang for 4 hours per day (20 hours/week) or 6 hours per day (30 hours/week). If you want to learn Chinese in China, the intensive one-on-one course is the fastest way to improve your Chinese.

Different types of transportations can be chosen when traveling to Yuanyang for learning Chinese.
Yuanyang County is located in the south-eastern Yunnan, approximately 176 miles southeast of the provincial capital of Kunming.
There is no airport in Yuanyang due to its geographical location. Taking a direct bus from Kunming to Yuanyang is one of the options, which takes about 6 hours.
You may also choose to take the high-speed train from Kunming to Gejiu (3 hours) first and then transfer by taking a car to Yuanyang (1.5 hours).

What to do after your Chinese class?
Yuanyang terrace fields have a profound history of over 1200 years. It is on a magnificent large scale and is praised as the most amazing sculpture on the hills. To enjoy the best view of the Yuanyang terraced fields, you should visit the four major areas, including Bada, Laohuzui, Duoyishu, and Jingkou. Besides these four major areas, another field called the Aichunlan terrace field is worth visiting. The water in this field delicately reflects the sunshine in the morning, which presents a fairy blue color.

It is also worth appreciating the local Hani minority group’s village and their buildings, which are rich in minority features. The typical Hani minority building here is called the Mushroom cottage due to its mushroom-like appearance.
Azheke Village is one of the key villages under the protection of the Honghe Hani Terraces World Heritage. It is a well-preserved primitive Hani village. There are 51 traditional Mushroom cottages listed for protection in the village.

Nansha County is the new county seat of Yuanyang County. Nansha was originally named Nansai, which means waterside tidal flat in the Dai language.
