Co-Founder and Director of Keats School
Zier Liu is the Co-Founder and Director of Keats School, one of China’s premier institutions for Mandarin language immersion. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Management Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
Driven by a vision to bridge global cultures through language, Ms. Liu co-founded Keats School in Kunming in 2004. Under her strategic leadership, the school has developed acclaimed, proprietary teaching methodologies that specialize in intensive, customized Mandarin instruction. Her approach combines rigorous academic standards with deep cultural integration, tailoring programs to meet the diverse needs of international students, professionals, and diplomatic personnel.
Over more than two decades, Ms. Liu has guided Keats School’s expansion into a globally recognized hub for linguistic excellence, welcoming thousands of students from over 100 countries. Her enduring commitment to high-quality education and cross-cultural communication continues to shape the school’s mission, empowering learners worldwide to achieve fluent Mandarin proficiency.
Feng Xue
Co-Founder of Keats School
Feng Xue is the Co-Founder of Keats School. Prior to dedicating her life to education, she served her community as a medical doctor at the First Provincial Hospital of Yunnan. In 2004, driven by a simple, heartfelt desire to help international visitors feel welcome and truly connect with Chinese culture, she made the quiet decision to pivot her career and found Keats School.
As the heart of Keats’s academic foundation, Ms. Xue used her background in science to carefully design the school’s teaching methods from the ground up. Rather than relying on rigid textbooks, she focused on creating patient, logical, and encouraging techniques tailored to help international learners feel confident when tackling Mandarin. Her deep love for traditional Chinese arts—such as calligraphy and cooking—has also helped shape the warm, family-like environment that Keats is known for today.
For over twenty years, Ms. Xue has guided the school with a gentle, hands-on approach. She remains deeply invested in the daily progress of both her teaching staff and her students, continuing a lifelong commitment to fostering mutual understanding and friendship across cultures.
