Gao Tiantui is a foreign student, who is now learning Chinese in China at Keats’ Elementary Class 2. This is Tianrui’s third semester at Keats. From an absolute beginner to HSK 4 speaker, it took Tianrui only a few semesters at Keats to achieve. Her progress was largely attributed to the professional Chinese teaching at Keats and her efforts and strong determination.
Tianrui took part in the small group classes only in the first two semesters at Keats. She told us that it was a great pleasure for her to study Chinese in the small group class. Studying Chinese with others brought her unlimited happiness because she could complete tasks with her classmates and compete for prizes no matter in her lessons or in the school-wide large events. All of these memorable moments became great parts of her academic life in Kunming. Interaction with other students was one of the important factors that kept Tianrui studying in the small group Chinese class. This semester, which is Tianrui’s third semester at Keats, she added some one-on-one lessons in addition to her small group lessons. There are several reasons why she did so. Tianrui told us that her vocabulary, speaking Chinese, and listening received much progress compared to what she had last semester. Now she would like spend more time with her private teacher at Keats to reinforce and practice the skills she already acquired. Tianrui heard that Keats School’s is famous for her flexibility and professionalism in the one-on-one program. The teachers will prepare the lessons according the students’ learning goals and expectation. After a talk with her one-on-one teacher, Tianrui’s teacher made a comprehensive teaching plan with various efficient teaching methods for Tianrui to help meet her goals. After taking only a few one-on-one lessons, Tianrui felt that her Chinese was improved a lot with the supplementary practice that could not be founded anywhere else, designed exclusively for her by Tianrui’s teacher.
The one-on-one program is recommended to the students in the small group classes, because you will have more private interaction with the teacher to get more practice and get corrected immediately. If you are looking for more details about the one-on-one program, please visit here .
