Summer Peak at Keats Part 2: Busy After-class Activities

Many students choose to study Mandarin Chinese in China at Keats School because they are looking to improve their Mandarin Chinese skills as soon as possible through a reliable Chinese language school. However, there is another important reason why they choose to study at Keats – varied and wonderful after-class activities, which help them get the most out of their stay in China.

At Keats, we arrange various after-class cultural activities such as taking students to try street food/local snacks, visiting museums, playing games in parks, etc. Other than regular weekend activities, we also arrange large events such as International Cultural Festival and Spring Festival Celebration.

Lately, the events planning team at Keats has been busy scheduling various cultural activities for Keats students. Recently, we invited all Keats students and teachers for a trumpet recital performed by an American trumpeter at the Kunming Theatre. Many teachers showed great interests because they told us that they were very lucky to attend masters’ performance when they worked at Keats. One French student was surprised to see that one of his favorite songs was listed on the programme when he was learning Chinese in China. The beautiful song reminded him of his hometown in Europe.

On the performance day, many students and teachers arrived at the theatre earlier than the time being told because they were so excited about the show. Keats events planning team reserved seats in the front rows so that our teachers and students can have a better experience. The recital lasted for about two hours with enthusiastic applause from the audience. After the show ended, students started to talk about their favorite part of the show with the teachers. Several students asked that when the next exciting cultural activity would be held. We gave them a very satisfied answer: appreciate world-class paintings at Kunming Museum. We have posted about his great event on our events board and we have already many students signing up for this event.

During the summer peak at Keats, we arrange a great number of activities to help our students get to know Chinese culture as well as to relax brains from learning Chinese. We look forward to your participation.

It is very convenient to come to Kunming from Thailand. I really like my Chinese class and my Chinese improved a lot in a few months. There are many benefits of learning Chinese. The best thing I like about Keats is that it is in Kunming, a city with eternal spring. There is so much to see in Kunming and you will love this city after you come.

I decided to learn Chinese in Kunming because I like smaller cities and I like the climate here. We had four hours a day study here and my dear teacher taught me very much and never lost her patience with me. It was a really wonderful experience to be here and I recommend Keats school and the teachers here to everyone who likes to learn Chinese in China.

I found Keats to be very good, teachers are excellent and really take the students seriously. Kunming is the best place to learn Mandarin in China. The environment is awesome, no pollution. The air quality is great, good weather. The people here are very friendly. I come to take classes every day. I feel comfortable studying Chinese at Keats. I learned so many things, although I only studied at Keats for 2 months. I am really satisfied with my teacher. For us foreigners, Keats is the best Chinese school in China. Therefore, I would highly recommend Keats to all of you.

Kunming is a great place to learn Chinese in China because not many Chinese on the street speak English. Keats has been a great school for me and a lot of other foreigners who studied in China recommended it to me. I think they are all right. The study method here is really structured. They make learning Chinese really easy. There are also a lot of cultural and natural places to visit.

I can’t tell you how much I liked it. The thing I liked about the teachers and the teaching method is that there is so much flexibility. The other thing I liked about the teaching is the combination of classic textbook learning and going outside. I loved it! I like getting to know other students. Everybody shared the same goal and that’s making their Chinese better. Kunming is a big city, but it is very safe to live here. Another thing I liked about Keats is the idea that people here help you. I can’t recommend it enough. I think it was a valuable experience. Looking forward to coming back!

I am a graduate student working on my doctorate degree at Columbia University. We were able to really focus on speaking especially interview-style speaking and we are able to really up my Chinese reading and writing skills, so when I go back to Columbia, I can take formal Chinese classes. It has been a really good experience and I really love my teacher.
