Students of Keats School Experienced the Tea Culture in the Class

On Monday this week, the elementary class experienced a special culture class – making tea and they had a discussion about the Chinese tea culture. Ms Huang is the teacher who takes charge of the elementary class. And she organized this activity to help the students understand more about the tea culture in China.

“You know, China is famous for tea culture, and Yunnan is famous for the green tea like Pu‘er” Ms. Huang introduced. Actually, the students learned about tea from their textbook. “But a better way to learn Chinese tea is to taste the tea first and then share with everyone about your idea about the different types of tea”. After some introduction from the teacher, the student who is good at making tea could get the chance to show and introduce the tea to other students.

Keats school believes that there is a better way to learn Chinese well is mixing the classes knowledge with real Chinese culture.Many students of Keats school always have the chance to experience the various Chinese culture during their Chinese classes.

The place is very cool. I am with a great group of people in my class, so coming to classes is very enjoyable. It is fun, we have a lot of discussions, games, activities. Our teachers are also very good, very supportive. Learning Chinese is intimidating at the start because you have so many questions. The other thing I liked about the teaching is the combination of classic textbook learning and going outside. I loved it! I like getting to know other students.
