Students’ Learning Experience Got Published

Peter, one of Keats Students, wrote an article about his personal learning experience in the Chinese language.  His article gave all Chinese learners very good advices in choosing appropriate apps for learning Chinese. In Peter’s aricle, he particularlly introduces Pleco (iOS and Android) and Notability (iOS only). Each app is clearly explained by his personal using experience and picutres. This ariticle recently got published on Chinese-Tools.com, which is a powerful website providing Chinese learners with efficient and abundant information about the Chinese culture and Chinese language. I think the Chinese learning environment here is great. The teaching methods are also very interactive and fun. What I particularly enjoy here is the fact that my teacher does not stick to the textbook. We spend a lot of time discussing general topics, such as Chinese culture, world news, typical expressions used by local people. We also discuss social and economic topics.

One thing I really liked was that I was able to work with my teacher to make an individual plan of study. Another really nice thing is that you live at the school, you feel completely safe.  You always have a group of people who are willing to do things with you on the weekends or in the evenings. They are serving you all the 3 meals a day, the food was excellent.

This is my second time coming. Last year, I also came for about 12 weeks. This time I came for 13 weeks of a summer program in China. The reason why I particularly want to come to this school was because of the one-on-one classes. I was able to increase my level and learn Chinese more quickly than in group classes. I have 2 teachers, and I do 4 hours a day. So I have got Dong Laoshi and Jin Laoshi. Both of them are very good. They made the experience very nice to me. They are willing to help you whenever, so if you ever have a question here, the teachers are always there to help you whether it is visas, whether it is getting around the city.
