We are very excited that we are welcoming the traditional Chinese festival – Spring Festival. Keats School is full of festival atmosphere everywhere. Several days before the Spring Festival, teachers at Keats already started to decorate the school such as pasting up the antithetical couplet, paper-cuttings and the famous Chinese character “福”. Once you enter the school, you can easily tell that oh yes, it is the Spring Festival around the corner.

We have prepared a gift for every Keats teacher for the Spring Festival. We wish all the teachers a happy and fruitful new year. We have also prepared special gifts for Keats students. We wrote down our best wishes for each student on the gift because we want Keats students to experience a special Spring Festival in China. Pauline from Switzerland told us that this was her first time to spend the Spring Festival in China and this was so interesting to her. Before the Spring Festival, Pauline even had a Chinese culture lesson. Her teacher introduced the origin and legend of the Spring Festival and the festival customs in north and south China. Pauline told us that she planned to visit different places in China during the Spring Festival and take lots of pictures to record the special moment of Chinese people and its culture.

Many Keats teachers prepared holiday gifts for their students. One teacher brought some local snacks from her hometown to her student. The student was very surprised to receive the gift from his teacher and he told us that he was not aware of the Spring Festival was the time when he was learning Chinese in China at Keats. He was afraid that there will be a long break for the lessons during the Spring Festival. To his surprise that the festival would not affect his learning schedule and everything was pre-organized before he arrived. Now he can enjoy a wonderful and fascinating Chinese Spring Festival while he studies Mandarin Chinese in China.
