On October 1, 1949, the People‘s Republic of China was formally established. It is the 61st year since China was established. Every year, Chinese people celebrate this important day in different ways. We have fireworks celebration, parties and so on, but the most popular one is traveling, as there is a 7-day vacation from October 1 to October 7.
The national day holidays are one of the longest holidays in China (another is Spring Festival.) During this period, most of companies, schools, government’s departments will have 7 days off. And more than half population of this country will go out for travel. It is a good time to travel in China, especially in Yunnan.
Keats School arranged a group activity for our students. We went to a famous park in Kunming – Golden Temple. Golden temple is one of the important Taoist temples in China and it is famous for a unique bronze temple. Our students not only enjoyed very pleasant natural view of the park, but also were fascinated with the romantic story of the golden temple. They were supersized by the amazing details of golden temple, it was hard to believe that every part was made from bronze.
It is worth to go to the Golden Temple when you travel in Kunming.
