Recently, more and more students choose Keats School’s culture classes when they study Chinese in Kunming. They chose Taiji or Kufu classes, calligraphy classes and cooking classes. The culture classes offer a good chance for our students to experience more about China besides Chinese learning.

This Thursday an American student learned how to cook two famous dishes. He learned Kong Pao Chicken and dumplings. Start from prepare the material, clean and cut vegetables and meats, make sauce and fillings, fry and boil to eat them. The whole process was interesting.

During the cooking, our cook use Chinese to teach him. He learned the Chinese of cooking, for example, how to say cut, mix, fry, salt, garlic and so on. After he cooked the dishes, he shared his delicious food with teachers and students. Everybody was surprised that the dishes were so good!

We believe that when the student back, he can cook some Chinese dishes for his family and friends!
