On October 31st, many Keats students enjoyed a fantastic Halloween party when they study Mandarin Chinese in China. The Halloween party was held at the newly opened O’Reilly’s Irish Pub right next to Keats. The O’Reilly’s has already become a popular place for Keats students to hang out together, to meet new Chinese friends, and to take outdoor lessons. In addition to its beautiful decoration, O’Reilly’s also attracts our students through its authentic Western food and amazing beer. All Keats students and teachers will have a 10% discount whenever they eat at O’Reilly’s.
Before the party started, the staff from O’Reilly’s had already decorated the pub with little pumpkins and sparkling lights. The pub looked so Halloween that it also attracted many Chinese guests. Keats teachers and students appointed to meet each other at the party. As time went to 10:00pm, the pub was really full of people with creative costumes.
Around 10:30pm, songs and shows were performed by a current Keats student and one former Keats student. Many Chinese guests were amazed at their well-practiced cooperation and their fluent Chinese language skills.
Around the mid-night, the owner and the manager of the O’Reilly’s Tim announced the winners for the costume competition.
Keats students and teachers had a really fun night and an unforgettable Halloween party. We look forward to more interesting activities to be held at O’Reilly’s.
