Enric excitedly told his teacher when the small group class finished last week that he would go back to his home country to celebrate Christmas with his family. What made him the most excited was that he would take a direct flight from Kunming to Paris. The flight only takes 12 hours to fly from Kunming to Paris. This would save both money and time for students from Europe. Enric told us that there are flights available on every Monday, Thursday, and Saturday. The flight number is MU 773/4 and the type of the aircraft is Airbus A33E, which is very comfortable. The flight from Kunming to Paris takes off at 00:05 and lands at 05:50. The flight from Paris to Kunming takes off at 11:50 and lands at 6:00.
Enric packed all his stuff and anxiously waited for the date flying back home. On December 18th, Enric took the shuttle to get to the Changshui airport. Once after arrived, Enric was immediately attracted by the festival atmosphere at the airport. To his surprise, Enric would be taking the very first flight from Kunming to Paris. There were many passengers, staff, and journalists gathering at the airport. After the flight opening ceremony, it moved to the process of getting the boarding pass. Enric was lucky enough to be the first guest to get the boarding pass. He got interviewed by the journalist and was photographed and featured on a local newspaper.
Now many European students who will come to learn Chinese in China at Keats in 2015 have sent us their flight information. Surprisingly, most of them will fly from Paris to Kunming through the direct flight. The next international direct flight would be a flight from Vancouver to Kunming, which will be opened next March. This would bring lots of convenience to students from North America. As most international direct flights to Kunming become available, Kunming is attracting more attention from the world.
