A Student Attended Great Wall Marathon

2013 Greats Wall Marathon was one of the famous competition fro foreigners. Our student Rebekah who studies Chinese in small group class attended this competition. And she got a good result – 31! After she returned to school, she shared this good news and her medal with her teacher and classmates. She also shared her experience in Beijing in Chinese. She has leaned some texts related with Beijing. And this time, she went to visited many popular sightseeing spots. She is glad that she could use many Chinese in her trip after 3 month study in Keats small group Chinese class.

Everybody congratulated her and gave the best wishes for her. We hope she can join the next year’s marathon and get a better result. For supporting her to attend this competition, her teacher helped her to catch up the important part which she missed. And Rebekah is a hard working student. She has already caught up everything. She is studying Chinese and running for her dream. Keats School hopes she can achieve a better result in her Chinese study and sports’ life.

I can’t tell you how much I liked it. The thing I liked about the teachers and the teaching method is that there is so much flexibility. The other thing I liked about the teaching is the combination of classic textbook learning and going outside. I loved it! I like getting to know other students. Everybody shared the same goal and that’s making their Chinese better. Kunming is a big city, but it is very safe to live here. I think the Chinese learning environment here is great. The teaching methods are also very interactive and fun. What I particularly enjoy here is the fact that my teacher does not stick to the textbook. We spend a lot of time discussing general topics, such as Chinese culture, world news, typical expressions used by local people. We also discuss social and economic topics.
