A New Dish – Whitebaits Cake with Egg

Since Keats school has offered a new dish every week, all students have gotten the opportunity to try more variety of Chinese foods. And all students satisfied with Keats kitchen and thank our cook. One of our students said it is so worth to have 3 meals at Keats school.

There was a new dish for this week. And it was whitebaits cake with egg. Now is the season for locals to eat whitebaits which are nutritious. Our cook mixes whitebaits with eggs and marinates them. Then our cook fries them and makes them into a round shape. The taste is very fresh and it is crispy outside and soft inside. It is not hard to make this dish, but it is a very delicious dish on the dinner table.

This dish is not only popular in Chinese families, but also in Keats School.

One thing I really liked was that I was able to work with my teacher to make an individual plan of study. Another really nice thing is that you live at the school, you feel completely safe.  You always have a group of people who are willing to do things with you on the weekends or in the evenings. I think the Chinese learning environment here is great. The teaching methods are also very interactive and fun. What I particularly enjoy here is the fact that my teacher does not stick to the textbook. Kunming is a great place to learn Chinese in China because not many Chinese on the street speak English. Keats has been a great school for me and a lot of other foreigners who studied in China recommended it to me. I think they are all right. The study method here is really structured.
