Chinese Teachers Talk About Status of Task-based Teaching

From the perspective of application, the second language teaching materials and classroom teaching have largely applied the theories of task-based teaching to language teaching. The learners who study Chinese may know that some programmatic documents were formulated to guide the language teaching, learning and evaluation. Even though those documents do not aim at certain theories and teaching methods, students who study Chinese can see the importance of the task-centered teaching method. Therefore, we should apply the task-based teaching method to the Chinese language teaching.

The document Common European Framework of Reference for Languages points out that the accomplishment of the task-based teaching is in the center place of the teaching methods. Some of the students who learn in Chinese language courses may know this document lists and analyzes the relevant elements related to the tasks. Besides, it applies the system of task-based teaching to the classroom activities and language learning. It is a reason that the task-based teaching is used in Chinese teaching to help learners study Chinese. It is positive that the task-based teaching will be widely applied to the language teaching.
