The 25th Varna International Ballet Competition closed curtain in the third largest city in Bulgaria. Three participants from the Ballet Afflicted School of Liaoning Ballet dance regiment of China won the highest prizes of the youth group. The three participants were the generation after 90s and their wonderful performance received praise and appreciation from the judges as well as the audience. The wonderful performance won honor for the mother country. The participants said they were glad that they could obtain the prizes and they felt it was a great honor to them.
He Taiyu, a Chinese contestant, did a good job in the competition. He had won the gold prize of the youth group competition in the Helsinki International Ballet Competition in Finland and the Korean International Ballet Competition in year 2011. In the 25th Varna International Ballet Competition, he won the Varna Ballet Awards of the youth group and the most talented ballet youth which possessed the most potentiality. Many foreign students who were interested in ballet and learn Chinese language in China might know that the same award was obtained by the Chinese contestant whose name was Lu Meng 10 years ago when the 10th Varna International Ballet Competition was held.
The Chinese contestants Wang Qingxin won the gold award in the female youth group. The silver award was in vacancy and the contestants from Korea, Bulgaria and America were of the third place in the competition. Chinese contestant Zhang Yichao obtained the gold award of the male youth group. The second place of the male youth group was also in vacancy while the contestants from Korea got the third place. The vice president of Bulgaria was present at the prize-awarding ceremony and presented the medals to the winners. She expressed in her speech that the scores of the contestants were valid all over the world since the scores were accepted in different parts of the world.
The foreign students who learn Chinese in Yunnan tell us that the Varna International Competition was endowed with the title of World Ballet Olympic which was founded in year 1964. Many of them like to go to appreciate the performance during the competition period. 20 countries like China, Japan. Korea, America, Rumania, Bulgaria and the Republic of Belarus took part in the event this year and there were 66 contestants in the competition.
