There are many kinds of standards to classify the Chinese words. According to the popular classifying way, students who study Chinese can see two types of Chinese words, the basic vocabulary and the general vocabulary. when you come to study Chinese in Chinese school, teachers may tell you that the latter one includes the new words, the ancient words, dialects words, the loan words and industry terms and so on. Therefore, these types of words mentioned above can‘t be the basic words.
