Tianjin 2012 International Children’s Culture and Art Festival Opened Up

The news conference of the Tianjin 2012 International Children’s Culture and Art Festival opened up in the Huaxia Future Children’s Art Center. The Tianjin 2012 International Children’s Culture and Art Festival was held in Tianjin by the co-hosting of the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, China International Culture Association, China Soong Ching Ling Foundation and the Municipal government of Tianjin City. The event got approval and support from the National Ministry of Culture.

The art festival set peace, friendship and future as the theme. During the period of the art festival, there were many activities which included the performance at the opening and closing ceremony, the international children’s happy land, the ceremony of the world peace wall, the painting exhibition by the children in the world, the get-together of Chinese and foreign children, the tour of Tianjin and the climbing the Great Wall. The colorful activities were liked by many children at home and abroad. Many parents accompanied their children and they said they went to school to study in China and their children liked China very much. The activities strengthened the friendship between Chinese and foreigners.

Zhao Qian, center director of Huaxia Future Children’s Art Center and member of the organizing committee of the art festival, introduced that the art festival this year witnessed the most amount of participants in all the festivals held before. 55 countries like America, Australia, Bahamas, the Republic of Belarus, Belgium and Bulgaria took part in the event. Of the participants reached two thousand. The little artists from five continents gathered there to present a wonderful show. The director said the level of the art groups was the highest and the kinds of art forms were the most complete. The new features of the event would leave deep impression on the little audience. The foreign parents said they wanted to let their children know how to learn Mandarin in China to broaden their horizon to make them more independent.

The art festival aimed at promoting the quality and the integrated development of the youth through the children art exchange.
