Dali Bai Autonomous Prefecture of Yunnan announced that the fourth Dali International Photography Exhibition would be held in Dali during August 10th to 15th. The photography exhibition would draw many people from more than 10 countries like China mainland, Taiwan, Hong Kong, America and Europe. The photographers were from all over the world to take part in the event. The photography exhibition pieces would a total number more than two hundred. It was estimated that more people would be attracted to Dali during the exhibition. Many students who were studying Mandarin in Yunnan were talking about the event in the school. They said the event was a good chance to appreciate the overall view of Yunnan even the world through pictures.
The fourth Dali International Photography Exhibition was centered on the theme of real experience. The exhibition would take the principle of viewing people through photography and view outer world through photography. The photography exhibition put much emphasis on the globalization, originality and authenticity. The photography exhibition included two kinds of theme activities which were photo exhibition and new media broadcasting exhibition. The event invited more than ten countries and two hundred guests and more than one hundred registration exhibition. The exhibition field would stretch from Old Town of Dali to Xiaguan City.
Li Jiang, vice minister of the propaganda department of Dali, said the fourth Dali International Photography Exhibition would present much highlights. The exhibition would have the most influential professional journalism photography competition. The exhibition would offer a platform where photographers at home and abroad would communicate with each other and learn from each other. Many foreign photographers who had learned Chinese in Yunnan and experienced the diverse cultures in Yunnan during the previous photography exhibition said they really liked the sceneries in Yunnan especially in Dali.
As a tourism city of Yunnan, Dali received many tourists every year. Many foreign visitors might know that there was a Foreigner Street where people could communicate with each other and appreciate the sceneries and folk culture. Li Jiang said the holding of the Dali International Photography Exhibition would help to boost the tourism resources and accelerate the pace of the tourism culture in Dali. The scientific development and harmony development would be promoted as well.
