On the date of April 13th, the Democratic People’s Republic of North Korea Art Exhibition was held in the Imperial Ancestral Temple and Imperial College Museum to celebrate the 100th anniversary of President Kim Il-Song’s birthday that the foreign students who come for summer program in China may be familiar. Wang Wenzhang, the deputy minister of the Ministry of Culture and Pu Minghao, the embassy of North Korea to China attended to the opening ceremony of the exhibition.

During the speech, Zhang Aiping, the deputy director general of foreign affairs bureau of the Ministry of Culture said that China and North Korea are friendly neighbors linked by mountains and waters. It is firm policy of the Party and government in China to continue to consolidate and develop the traditional friendly and cooperative relations between both countries as well as strengthen the understanding of both peoples.

The cultural exchange between China and North Korea has a long history and the cultural exchange and cooperation between both countries are always an important part in the traditional friendly cooperative relationships of both sides. Pu Minghao also expressed in his speech that the friendship between China and North Korea is personally and carefully nurtured by leaders of the older generation of the two countries. At the same time, the peoples and art workers of both countries will also continue to consolidate and develop friendly exchanges and cooperation in the field of culture and art.
