Teacher can modify the new contents of the text before the Mandarin learning courses and write a short story then print the story for the students who learn Mandarin.
Teacher can ask the students to finishing reading the printed materials in the set time and answer the questions given by the teacher. The designed questions should have the function which can lead students to learn Chinese in China.
This teaching approach can not only cultivate the students’ reading comprehension capacity, but also bring new teaching contents, therefore it is quite popular among teachers who teach Mandarin language in the school in Kunming to study Chinese.
When teaching the word “套、房租……”to the students in the intensive Mandarin courses in China, our teacher firstly gave the prepared materials to the students:
我的家不太大，有一个客厅，两个卧室，一个卫生间，一个厨房。这房子不是我的，我每个月要交一千块钱。
房子外面还不错：
1）西边是山，山下边有河，河边是一个很大的公园，公园里边有很多树和花……
2）房子离公司不太远，到公司可以坐18路、25路、27路、35路、50路；
3）附近还有学校、医院、体育馆、超市等。
The students who study Chinese were required to finish reading this paragraph in the set time and the teacher raised questions according to the new knowledge.
Teacher: 请介绍一下“我”家的房子有多大。
Students: 我的家不太大，有一个客厅，两个卧室，一个卫生间，一个厨房。
The teacher then imported the concept of “套” and explained the meaning to the students who study in China and wrote down “一套房子”on the blackboard.
Teacher: 房子不是我的，我每个月要交多少钱？
Students: 我每个月要交一千块钱。
The teacher stopped to explain the meaning of “房租“for the students of the Mandarin language courses in China.
Teacher: 请介绍一下房子外边的情况。
Students: 西边是山，山下边有河，河边是一个很大的公园，公园里边有很多树和花……
The teacher imported the new word “周围”and “环境” to teach the students.
Teacher: 到公司远吗？有公共汽车吗？
Students: 不太远，有公共汽车，坐18路、25路、27路、35路、50路可以到公司。
The teacher then explained the words “通”、“通公共汽车”、“交通很方便”.
The teacher led the students who learn Chinese language to practice these new words and asked them to fill these new words into the reading paragraph:
