The Story About Qin Destroyed Six States in Chinese Culture

Before you come to learn Chinese in China, you may have already been attracted by the rich and long history from Chinese culture. It has told the story about how Qin destroyed six states and unified the whole country.

Qin Shihuang was named as Yingzheng. As you learn Chinese in China, you could figure out that Qin Shihuang was the first emperor in the ancient united country by his name. Zi Chu, who was the father of Qin Shihuang, used to be the first born in Qin state who was the son of An Guojun. When you study Mandarin in China, it is easy to find out that the first born of the family usually succeeded as the king from his father in Chinese culture. Furthermore, An Guojun, in the early years of Qin state, once had been taken as hostage by Zhao state.

Then, after he escaped from Zhao state, he was made king of his father. And he was appointed as the QinZhuangXiang Wang. In Chinese culture, every the ancient people, especially the nobilities, had their own appointed name. This had attracted many overseas who study Chinese in China to research on it. However, his short political life had only lasted for 3 years. In the 243 B.C., Zi Chu died so that Yingzheng reigned in his father’s place since 13 years old.

At that time, the bulk of power within Qin state was been taken by the chancellor, Lu Buwei, who had shown his political talent of the highest order. Thus he took advantages of the traditions of Qin state to nibble away at other six states positively, with various kinds of political activities. Majority of the foreigners who learn Chinese in China are interest on him because of his political talent.

On the other hand, those political activities had made contribution to develop the Qin state as well. If you study Chinese in China, you can figure out those political activities in the book in the library personally. However, Lu Buwei intrigued with the empress and those eunuchs to deal with the national affairs from democracy to autocracy. This thus had brought about the displeasure from Qin Yinzheng who was the king of the country.

238 B.C. years ago, Qin Wangzheng started to deal with the national affairs in person when he was 22 years old. Qin Wangzheng immediately killed those eunuchs, as well as put the empress in prison. The following year, he had recalled the chancellor, Lu Buwei and made Lu Buwei moved to Shu Jun. Lu Buwei, however, committed suicide there. This has been record in the history book for those who intend to study Mandarin in China.

Since then, Qin Wangzheng had assumed total power of Qin state. Therefore, he redeployed the strategies and plans in order to fight against those six states. Consequently, the war which was triggered by Qin Wangzheng to safeguard the national unification against those six states had started. After you study Chinese in China for a while, you may feel that Qin Wangzheng was so great to unify the ancient China.

In the 221B.C. years ago, Qin sent the troops to destroy sate of Qi, while the emperor of Qi state had been captured by Qin Wangzheng as well. Then, Qi state had perished in the Chinese history. It was also considered as an important part in Chinese culture for those who are going to learn Chinese in China.

When, by the 230 B.C., Qin dispatched the troops, led by Nei Shiteng, to attach Han state, the king of Han state, Han Wangan, had been captured and the Han state vanished from the history of Chinese culture then.

So far, Qin state had finished to unify the whole county no matter how. And Qin had opened new avenues, unifying the six states and establishing the first autocratic, centralized, feudal country in China.
