International Chinese Education is Developing

Nowadays, the work of Chinese teaching as a foreign language is processed by the lead of China‘s National Office for teaching Chinese as Foreign Language and the support of the local government and departments at all levels. The major platform of the international Chinese education is the Confucius Institute which the foreigners study in Mandarin learning courses in China may know. It has been developing rapidly since the foundation in the year of 2004. The set of the Confucius Institute promotes the development of the international Chinese teaching and also stimulates more foreigners‘ interest for Chinese language learning.

The management system of the Confucius Institute is gradually becoming perfect. During the period when you study Chinese in China, you may hear that the operation model of the institute is to center on the foreign countries‘ application with China‘s assistance and the local government and all sectors of the community‘s support. With the rapid development of the international Chinese education, the problem of Chinese teacher‘s shortage is becoming more obvious. Nowadays, China has cooperated with the experienced universities in foreign countries to train Chinese teachers.

A variety of teaching resources that adapt to the international Chinese education model are also in shortage. Therefore, the headquarters is making efforts to strengthen the development of the teaching resources. Some of the excellent instructional resources have been developed and translated into versions of 45 languages. The published book Travel Around China is helpful to understand the Chinese geography, history and culture. At the same time, some experts are processing to reform the Chinese language test, making it incentive examination after the adjustment of structures of test paper. And the reformation of Business Chinese Test is also started. As a great business , the Chinese international education should be developed to satisfy people’s requirements to do international communication.
