The solo show of Tang Yongli’s paintings of Chinese characteristics was held in the rotunda, the back east and the west exhibition halls at the same time. The show was co-hosted by the Culture Ministry of the People’s Republic of China, the Literature and Art League of China, Central Committee for promotion of democracy of China, the Art Office of C.P.P.C.C., Chinese Artists Association, National Art Museum of China and Central Academy of Fine Arts.
The solo show of Tang Yongli centered on the Chinese paintings whose theme was the Re-presentation of Styles in Tang Dynasty. Through the display of 150 paintings, the show revealed the inheritance, creativity and the development of Tang Yongli’s Chinese paintings who was the dean of the School of Chinese Painting in Central Academy of Fine Arts. The organizer and curator of the National Art Museum of China said that there were two reasons why the naming of the show was Re-presentation of Styles in Tang Dynasty. One was that the family name of Tang Yongli was Tang, which was the same as the dynasty title of Tang Dynasty. For this reason, the naming of the show referred the constant development of his art achievement. The other reason was that Tang Dynasty was a period full of achievement, brilliance and splendor and Mr. Tang inherited the art styles of that period.
The show was held in the rotunda, the back east and the west exhibition halls in the meantime time. Mr. Tang was graduated from Hebei Normal University. After his graduation, he remained in the university to teach students art classes. Then he continued his study in Central Academy of Fine Arts and after years’ study, he became the professor in Central Academy of Fine Arts. In his years of teaching and researching, he had taught a lot of students, not only at home but also from abroad.
