Founded in 2004, Keats School now has 60 classrooms, 45 dorm rooms with private bathrooms, a Keats Cafeteria, and a Keats fitness center at the headquarters in Kunming. The Keats Chengdu campus has 40 dorm rooms with private bathrooms, a cafeteria, and a lounge. With 18 locations across China, Keats is considered the largest and best Mandarin Chinese school in China.
We provide intensive Chinese language programs to overseas students of all ages. Our fully licensed teachers, who speak standard Mandarin and English, are professionally trained and use unique teaching methods that we have developed in-house based on our over 22 years of experience.

All Keats teachers are full-time and certified, and have teachers' licenses. Keats teachers have excellent experience teaching Chinese as a foreign language. Our teachers, with a strong sense of commitment to your learning, are evaluated by their students and supervisor every week, and this feedback is invaluable to improve Chinese instruction. KEATS DINING HALL
The meal is a complimentary service at Keats. We serve fresh vegetables, fried eggs or scrambled eggs, steamed buns, fried rice, sticky rice balls, coffee, porridge, dumplings, and noodles for breakfast. We serve 4 delicious Chinese dishes with rice and dumplings/noodles/pancakes/steamed buns for lunch and dinner. You will find meat options and vegetarian options.
KEATS CLASSROOMS
Keats has 60 classrooms in the school building. We have classrooms for intensive one-on-one Chinese lessons, small group Chinese classes, and online Chinese lessons. Each classroom is equipped with a computer and high-speed wifi. It is also a good place for self-studying and doing homework.
KEATS DORM ROOMS
Founded in 2004, Keats School now has 45 dorm rooms with private bathrooms, a Keats Cafeteria, and a Keats fitness center at the headquarters in Kunming. The Keats Chengdu campus has 40 dorm rooms with private bathrooms, a cafeteria, and a lounge. Each room has a private bathroom. Nicely decorated rooms at Keats bring you the comfort of home, so you can focus on your Chinese language classes. Getting to the classrooms is just a ride on the elevator.
KEATS FITNESS CENTER
All Keats students have free access to the Keats Fitness Center, which is located in the same building as the school.
KEATS LOUNGE
Keats Lounge is a perfect place to meet friends, watch a movie, do your homework, and have conversations.
KEATS LIBRARY
Keats library has a collection of more than 4,000 books. Some books are in English and some books are in Chinese. Feel free to pick a book and read it here. It is also a great place for small group meetings.
KEATS CAFE
We use the arabica coffee grown in Yunnan to prepare espresso, latte, cappuccino, and mocha. Keats students will receive a 50% discount for all drinks at Keats Time Cafe, which is located in the school building. Each day we strive to deliver an exceptional hospitality experience at Keats. A day full of energy starts from a cup of good coffee or tea.

At Keats, I have a lot of opportunities to practice what I have learned. I really like this school, because I can learn Chinese in one-on-one style, so I think this is the best immersion program in China and my teacher is the best teacher. I feel that without my teacher, my Chinese will definitely not improve so much. I’m very happy because, at Keats, I have improved my Chinese significantly.
We use a lot of games to learn grammar and new words. We have really good teachers, really patient. She helps us a lot. Our class is really nice and we have people from all over the world, different countries. We often discuss topics in Chinese in our class. I live in the dorm of Keats. It is very convenient. I don’t have to spend time traveling. You can just focus on learning Chinese.
I think Kunming is a great city, the weather is really good. I really like Keats school and found it is very organized. The teachers here are very good. They have a coffee shop and new classrooms, a new lounge area here now, so you can chill out with your friends and practice your spoken Chinese with natives. If you’re considering coming to Keats to study, I would really recommend it. It’s the best place to learn Mandarin and I think it will be a great experience for you.
In the one-to-one intensive Chinese course, you can choose the learning method you like. The small group Chinese class in China at Keats follows the HSK textbook. Teachers often collect feedback from the students, teachers listen to our requirements and opinions. I felt that my oral level is better than before .
Before I came to Keats School, I had no confidence in my Chinese proficiency. I did not have the confidence to speak Mandarin Chinese and chat with Chinese people. However, after 4 months of study at Keats, I become more and more confident in speaking Chinese now. Studying Chinese in China at Keats School has been the best decision I have ever made. There are many games in the class, and my teacher’s teaching methods are also very interesting. My experience at Keats School has changed my view of China and Chinese people.
The visa application was really straightforward, because Keats School helps us a lot with that. Keats has a big emphasis on conversational practice, so we learn a lot of vocabulary and daily life plans which is very convenient for us to go around town and speak with Chinese people which is the whole point of learning Chinese in China.
I come to Kunming because I think the environment in Kunming is better and I heard that Keats School is better. I like the small group Chinese class because my classmates study hard and our teachers are very good. I like the teaching method of Keats because I like the activities at Keats. I think Yunnan is a particularly beautiful Chinese province.
My first semester that I studied at another school, and the pressure there was pretty high, the classroom hour was long, and the homework was pretty tedious. Since I came to Keats, I found I have a lot more opportunities to speak in the classroom. My classmates all are fluent and love speaking and participating in the class. We have great classroom dynamic.
