Located in the city center, Keats School is the only immersion Chinese language school in Kunming, China which offers an all-inclusive study and living environment.
Founded in 2004, Keats School now has 60 classrooms, 54 single rooms with private bathrooms, a Keats Cafeteria, and a Keats fitness center at the headquarters in Kunming. With 11 locations across China, Keats is considered the largest and the best Mandarin Chinese school in China.
We provide intensive Chinese language programs to overseas students of all ages. Our fully licensed teachers, who speak standard Mandarin and English, are professionally trained and use unique teaching methods that we have developed in-house based on our over 20 years of experience.

All Keats teachers are full-time and certified, and have teachers' licenses. Keats teachers have excellent experience teaching Chinese as a foreign language. Our teachers, with a strong sense of commitment to your learning, are evaluated by their students and supervisor every week, and this feedback is invaluable to improve Chinese instruction. We are committed to providing our students with the highest possible quality of Mandarin Chinese classes in China.
KEATS DINING HALL
The meal is a complimentary service at Keats. We serve fresh vegetables, fried eggs or scrambled eggs, steamed buns, fried rice, sticky rice balls, coffee, porridge, dumplings, and noodles for breakfast. We serve 4 delicious Chinese dishes with rice and dumplings/noodles/pancakes/steamed buns for lunch and dinner. You will find meat options and vegetarian options.
KEATS CLASSROOMS
Keats has 60 classrooms in the school building. We have classrooms for intensive one-on-one Chinese lessons, small group Chinese classes, and online Chinese lessons. Each classroom is equipped with a computer and high-speed wifi. It is also a good place for self-studying and doing homework.
KEATS DORM ROOMS
Keats has 54 dorm rooms in the school building. Each room has a private bathroom. Nicely decorated rooms at Keats bring you the comfort of home, so you can focus on your Chinese language classes. Getting to the classrooms is just a ride of the elevator.
KEATS FITNESS CENTER
All Keats students have free access to the Keats Fitness Center, which is located in the same building as the school.
KEATS LOUNGE
Keats Lounge is a perfect place to meet friends, watch a movie, do your homework, and have conversations.
KEATS LIBRARY
Keats library has a collection of more than 4,000 books. Some books are in English and some books are in Chinese. Feel free to pick a book and read it here. It is also a great place for small group meetings.
KEATS CAFE
We use the arabica coffee grown in Yunnan to prepare espresso, latte, cappuccino, and mocha. Keats students will receive a 50% discount for all drinks at Keats Time Cafe, which is located in the school building. Each day we strive to deliver an exceptional hospitality experience at Keats. A day full of energy starts from a cup of good coffee or tea.

Known as the "Spring City," Kunming is home to some of the most pleasant and mildest weather in all of China. A mountain city just north of the tropics, high temperatures average around 21°C (69°F) and lows are typically around 10°C (50°F). Kunming is home to some of the cleanest air and bluest skies in China.

I have to say it’s tons of fun. I have been here for 2 weeks. Not knowing what it was gonna be like, I was more than surprised at how great it is. The teachers are great, they are understanding. They do a Chinese language program that suits just you. The location is perfect for learning Chinese in China.
I found Keats School and I am so glad that I did. When you learn Chinese in China at Keats, you are fully being taken care of. My teacher is really great and we become lovely friends.
I have been to Keats School to learn Chinese for 4 times now. The reason for coming back to this school is pretty much that the teachers I did work with were very good Chinese teachers. I make it a 5-year plan or even a 10-year plan to come back to this school. All the teachers have methods of looking at what your skills are. They are aware of at what level you are. I think it is worth for everyone.
I have really enjoyed the Chinese course in China at Keats and meeting the teachers here and the students. We have a lot of fun in class. It is a really great school to learn with good teaching methods and a really good textbook, examples and games, and everything.
This is my second time coming. Last year, I also came for about 12 weeks. This time I came for 13 weeks of a summer program in China. The reason why I particularly want to come to this school was because of the one-on-one classes. I was able to increase my level and learn Chinese more quickly than in group classes. If I have a chance again to come next year, I certainly will.
The teachers at Keats know how to read the students and how to help students learn Chinese language easily. They know the level of the students. I am a slow learner, but they managed to adapt to my learning. They made the class very fun, very exciting. I am pleased that not only I got to learn the culture and the language, but I also got to make amazing friends, really unbelievable, Chinese friends and European friends, American friends, from all over the world.
Since last semester, we started studying Chinese at Keats. It was the best choice we can ever make. It is a really good school. The classes are a lot of fun, you learn a lot, but very interactive, so you talk a lot which means it is not just books and writing. Kunming is a really pleasant city to live in, especially if you compare it to other cities in the east. If you like to travel, if you like to study Chinese in a fun way, Keats has the best Chinese language program for you.
So during my first week at Keats, I didn’t dare to speak any Chinese words. I found out that my Chinese level quickly improved since then. Although I have many options to study in China, for example, some other schools have homestay, I found I could immerse myself and fully focus on learning Chinese by staying at Keats.
