Wan Ding is the smallest bordering city in China as well as a national grade port. Some foreigners who study in China may have heard that the population there is only ten thousand. It is very convenient from Wan Ding to the border towns Nankan, Jiugu, Mujie and Lasu. If you ever been there when you study in China, you would know you can just hand two photos and some fees to the Chinese travel agency and they will be handed to the tour guides in Burma. When you back, they will hand them back.
Jiugu Bridge is located over the Wan Ding River in the south of the city. if you are learning Chinese in China, you should know that it is not only the boundary bridge between China and Burma, but also the friendship bridge for people to communicate through Yunnan-Burma Road. There is a customhouse and frontier inspection station set by China. Some foreigners who study in China may know that the flag-raising ceremony is held here every morning. During the period of Anti-Japanese War, China Expeditionary Force ever went through this bridge.
