Situated in center of Jiangcheng besides Xingyun Lake which is located in Jiangchuan County in Yuxi, Wenxing Pavilion was originally built in Daoguang period, the year of 1893. If you come to learn Chinese in China, you may be told that the pavilion is as high as 21 meters with three stories. With the wooden structure, it has elegant architecture style. There are totally 36 round columns support the whole pavilion and the entrances at the bottom of the pavilion are accessible to each other.

There is a horizontal inscribed board hanging on the pavilion with four characters Jiaang Cheng Ru Hua, meaning the scenery in Jiangcheng is picturesque.
