Three Filial Virtues

Chinese pay a lot attention to the importance of be filial to your parents. Traditional Chinese believe that there are three major transgressions of filial virtue. One, disobeying one‘s parents, and make them worry about you, even feel disappointed and sad. Two, not supporting them when they are old or the family is poor. You just work for yourself and enjoy your own happiness. Three, to not marry and have children, thereby severing the family line. The worst of these is to sever the family line. It still holds a position in Chinese culture, and it could be used as one of the main reasons for China‘s massive population.
