Xikou Tengtou Tourist Attraction in Feenghua is composed of the two main scenic areas Xikou and Tengtou in Ningbo city, both of which have their own advantages. For the purposes of improving the quality of the scenic area and expanding the influence of the tourism attraction, Fenghua city combined the two scenic spots Xikou and Tengtou together as early as in the year of 2007, making efforts to make it the national 5A level tourism attraction. With totally 225 single tourism resources, the two scenic spots cover the total area of 140 square kilometers with rice classifications and high landscape value.

When it came to 2009, Xikou and Tengtou were selected as the Shanghai Exposition “urban future hall” and “best urban practicing zone” as the only representative city in Asia and the only countryside case in the world respectively. If you have visited there when you study in Chinese school in China, you may know Xikou Scenic Area is located in 20 kilometers of the southwest of Ningbo city. As one of the first batch of 4A national scenic areas, it nears the mountain and by the river with an exquisite scenery.

The Xuedou Mountain in Xikou is composed of three scenic spots such as Xikou Town, Xuedou Mountain and Tingxia Lake and is famous for the crystal clear water, ancient temple and the hometown of Jiang family as well as the deep and secluded valley and waterfall. As early as in Han Dynasty, it had the reputation of “a dabbled abode of immortals”, which was the Peach Garden described in the poem of Tao Yuanming. Even though Xikou is a small town, it has great importance in Chinese politics because it is the hometown of Jiang Jieshi.

Tengtou ecological scenic area is one of the first national 5A tourist attractions with the picturesque scenery of the countryside style. Tengtou area makes full play of the effectiveness of the national environmental education base to let the visitors enjoy the fullest beauty of the nature. This is the main reason that this tourist attraction attracts many foreign students who learn in free Chinese lessons in China. Located in six kilometers north of Fenghua city, Tengtou Village is about 27 kilometers away from the city center of Ningbo. The former chairman Jiang Zemin spoke highly of the civilization construction achieved in the village and gave full affirmation of the progress in the year of 1991.
