Progress Made in Agriculture During Tang Dynasty

Even in the modern China, the tea industry in the south has developed more advanced than the other region in China. Thanks to the steady development of the southern agriculture production, as well as the stagnation of the agriculture development in the north, the Jianghuai region had been the most important area for production of grain in the late Tang Dynasty. Without the tributes from the Fan town, the central authorities could only live depending on the other eight state including the western and eastern Zhejiang province, Huainan, Jiangxi province, Fujian province and Hunan province and so on.
