These two words are quite common in HSK exam: 时间、时候（“时间”can be拥有，can be浪费，can be节省 while“时候”can’t；“时候”is always connected with specific situation.）To pass HSK exam successfully, you should pay attention to the use of the two words.

HSK exam is not that difficult. If you can learn one language point every day, you will accumulate a lot in the future.
The following language points are important in HSK exam.
① (S) V sth. 的时候, … = when (S) V sth.…
例句：上课的时候，我喜欢关门。
他到家的时候，他的妈妈在跳舞。
飞机起飞的时候，请您在座位上坐好。
看书的时候，请不要讲话。
S V sth. 
的时间… = the time of some event
N. (a accurate time or a period of time)

例句：我上课的时间是九点半。
他到家的时间不长。
飞机起飞的时间是下午六点十五分。

② 有时候 = sometimes（you can’t say“没有时候”）
例句：她有时候坐出租车上班，有时候坐公共汽车上班。
我的男朋友有时候来我家吃晚饭。
我有时候起床起得很晚，我的父母不太高兴，他们总是希望我早睡早起。
有时间 = have time
没有时间 = do not have time

③ use“时间、时候”to question：
什么时候…？ = when… ?
例句：问：你什么时候去Keats学校学习中文？

问：你什么时候有时间？我想和你说说我的学习。
答：我明天下午有时间，你来我的办公室找我吧。
…多长时间? = how long…?
例句：问：你来中国多长时间了？
答：我来中国两年了。
问：她的弟弟学中文学了多长时间了？
答：她的弟弟学中文学了八年了。
