There are many cities for you to study in China. One of your choices is to learn Chinese in Jinnan. Compare with some important cities or medium sized cities in China, There are only few advantages in Jinan, and it lacks of metropolitan environment. Our suggestion is to study Chinese in Kunming and go to Jinnan to visit the springs. Reasons? Firstly, There are ‘two seasons’ only in Jinan, it`s either too hot or too cold. It belongs to temperate continental monsoon climate, which makes its four seasons very distinct and have plentiful sunlight. Its annual average temperature is 14 degrees Celsius; annual rainfall capacity is 650 to 700 millimeters. Jinan is called “The City of Springs” as there are 72 famous springs. Spouting Spring is the leading spring and which is well-recognized by the nation.
Well, do not forget that Jinan is also a place full of popular snacks when you travel there. Such as fried dumplings, soup dumplings, dishes silk bread, luohan bread, Muslim honey knife, coin crisp and boiled dumplings and the like.
Jinan enjoys over 4,000 years’ history, with beautiful mountains and clean waters. Jinan is also a place where men of talent come out in succession. Dufu, a very famous poet lived in Tang Dynasty, once wrote in Jinan his universally praised lines “the sea on the left side of an old pavilion, many famous people are born in the old Jinan”. Yes, many famous people are indeed born in Jinan, such as Bianque who was the founding father of Chinese Medicine, Zouyan who was a master of Yin and Yang Five Lines School, Fang Xianling who was a famous minister in Tang Dynasty, Zhou Yongnian who was the first person to advocate building China’s Public Library. Apart from those have been mentioned above, many notable writers like Li Qingzhao, Xin Qiji, Zhang Yanghao, Li Kaixian were born in Jinan. Many other poets and scholars like Libai, Dufu, Sushi, Zenggong and so on, they all once traveled to and lived in Jinan one after another.
