Located in Zaojie Village in the lakeside of Xingyun Lake, Jin Jia Ke Pavilion is as high as 20 meters with the square shape. As a three stories building, it was built in Daoguang period of Qing Dynasty, covering an area of 86 square meters. This pavilion is characterized by the exquisite pattern, closely structure, overhanging eaves as well as the carved beams and painted rafters. With the shape of a writing brush pointing out of the sky, it won the reputation of Wen Bi Cha Xiu.
At the gate of the pavilion, there is an antithetical couplet describing the beautiful scenery there as well as the fun brings to the tourists. It is a good place for the students who got internships in China to go because they can take the chance to practice their Chinese after reading the couplet at the same time of enjoying the fantastic views. In the late of the 80s, the county finance allocated funds from the state treasury to reconstruct this pavilion and added new activity place besides the gate of the pavilion.
If you are planning to travel in Jiangchuan, there is no need to worry about the season of visiting there. But it is recommended not visit Jiangchuan in the golden week period because it will increase your costs greatly. However, the best time to travel there should be the summer when you can swim in the lake and the period from December 25th to the next January 5th when the Fish Festival is held. If you go there before December 31st, you may have chance to see the most fishes you have ever seen.
If you want to spend your holiday in the lakeside of Fuxian Lake, you can just spend two Yuan in taking bus to there. In Jiangchuan, you can enjoy the fish in the freshwater lake and the most famous fishes in Jiangchuan should be Kanglang fish in Fuxian Lake and big-headed fish in XIngyun Lake. If you eat the ordinary fishes like grass carp and crucian, the average cost of each person is about 30 Yuan but the cost for Kanglang fish and big-headed fish should be less than 200 Yuan.
