In the long history of the development of drama in China, many excellent drama performance artists are cultivated. In the year of 1932, he joined in the Chinese Communist Party and then was transferred to drama association in the same year.
In the association, he was responsible for organizing and leading Guang Guang Drama Club, Xi Sheng Drama Club and Song Sheng Drama Club as well as other drama clubs. In 1937, the Anti-Japanese War broke out, Jin Shan acted as the vice captain of the second drama team in Shanghai. Started from Shanghai, he acted drama in different places to encourage Chinese people to fight against the war and save China. In 1938, Jin Shan organized the drama troupe to publicize the war resistance to the overseas in countries in the Southeast Asia. In the spring of 1939, he arrived in Hong Kong and directed and acted the play Storm on the Border which was written by Yang Hansheng. At the same time, he also directed and acted the leading role in Professor Mamlock.
After getting rid of the Pacific War broke in 1941, Jin Shan came back and acted the leading role in Guo Moruo’s famous play Qu Yuan in Chongqing.
