As times goes by, China become stronger in comprehensive national power. With the promoting international status, more westerners come to learn Chinese in China. As the nation of this language, China should take the most responsibility to construct China as the base and center of world Chinese language teaching.

It is important because China is the hometown of Chinese language and the native country of Chinese language. It is impossible that we can rank the first in everything in the world. However, Chinese is our native language and China is the hometown of Chinese language. So they come to study in China. However, we should be the best in Chinese textbooks. For those who learn Chinese language in China, they may know that there are some statistics prove that the Chinese textbooks compiled in our motherland in the 1980s to 1990s were the most populous in the world.

For the purpose of giving great help for those who learn Mandarin in China, there are still many aspects needed to be strengthened such as the Chinese language teaching methods, models as well as the teaching methodology because we are not so advanced in these aspects.

Some famous foreign schools abroad have become the most famous ones in Chinese language teaching. However, foreigners who are interested in learning Mandarin Chinese should realize that we don’t have such excellent schools in this field at present. Accordingly, we need to strengthen in this field with the most efforts. As for the research of instructional theory, as we all know, English teaching takes the priority in the second language teaching.

Therefore, what we should do to improve ourselves is to take them as example and introduce some of their excellent and useful aspects. As a matter of fact, we never fell behind in the field of Chinese languageteaching, and neither will we. But we should know that we should try more hard to take the responsibility to improve the condition.
