When the teachers teach some grammars points of the teaching materials, they may think what the best way of teaching is. They also want to know what the best way is for foreign students to study Chinese well. Whether the grammar points should be taught in centralized or centralized teaching method is the concern of the teachers.
Overall, the best teaching method to teach the grammar points is in a careful way. But it does not mean the teachers should teach the grammar points one by one. In regard to some certain points, the way of the decentralized or centralized teaching is worth discussing. The first method is the centralized comparison teaching method. For example, the teaching of the word了 will be illustrated. Three sentences which include the word 了are like the following. the first sentence is 看,汽车来了.The literal meaning of the sentence is Look, the car is coming. The second sentence is 昨天我买了一辆自行车. The literal meaning of the sentence is that I bought a bike yesterday. The third sentence is 昨天吃了晚饭来一下我的办公室. The literal meaning of the third sentence is please go to my office after you have supper. The arrangement of the teaching is to make the students understand that the word 了 is not a mark of the past tense but it can be a mark of tense of present perfect. The tense of the first sentence indicates the present, the second refers to the past and the third refers to the future.
The second method of teaching is decentralized teaching to make the foreign students in Chinese learning programs understand each grammar point step by step. We’ll have the same example of teaching of the word 了in the following passage. The three sentences above will be divided into three lessons and two periods. In the first period, the first two sentences will be taught and be arranged into two lessons. In the second period, the third sentence will be taught in the next semester. This kind of teaching is called the decentralized teaching method.
The specific teaching method should be arranged to the conditions of the foreign students. The teachers should draw attention to the respective cases of the students and set specific teaching plan to teach the students well.
