Cave of Bodhidharma

The Cave of Bodhidharma has been the holy land of Buddhism visited by countless Buddhists since a long time ago. When you come to study in China, you should know that Qizong village at Tacheng Town of Weixi County is a Tibetan people village, which possesses a beautiful landscape. Fields and gardens were made along river and against mountain, which looks like a mystery fairyland in the green forest. Foreigners who study in China may be told that there is a mountain named A’Hai Luo Mountain at 6 kilometers east of the village. People prefer to call it Damo Mountain because of Bodhidharma.

This mountain owns dense forest and enormous cliffs. The Cave of Bodhidharma was engraved at the cliff by nature. Some foreigners in Chinese language school are told that Bodhidharma came here to cultivate for 10 years and became a Buddha finally. It is said that it spent about 30 years to build those constructions in Qing Dynasty. Seeing from afar, those who study in China can feel the precipitous cliffs. The cave was destroyed and reconstructed and people still regard it as a sacred Buddhist land.
