In order to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Japan and China, the opera named Aida would be performed in public in Japan. The opera Aida was made by the National Center for the Performing Arts and the New National Theatre Tokyo. The public rehearsal was held by all the singing performers. The foreign students who went place to learn Chinese told the opera Aida was created by the Italian romantic composer Giuseppe Verdi. The opera was in honor of the opening of the Suez Canal.

Wang Zhengming, vice president of the National Center for the Performing Arts, said the cooperation of the opera by the National Center for the Performing Arts and the New National Theatre Tokyo was to indicate thee friendly relationship between Japanese people and Chinese people. The opera would be performed by the artists of the two countries. He said the play would attract for the original form.

There were many actors in the opera and they were all excellent actors. The three leading actors came from Japan and another three actors were from China. The heroine He Hui was one of the most active and wonderful Chinese singers in the world. She was good at playing the opera and she had presented the opera on the stage for more than one hundred. The hero of the opera sang well and he acted for many times.

The hero of the opera said he was impressed by the singing of the Chinese actors and that he could not find such good voices in his hometown Italy. Many people thought the music could surpass the national boundaries and that the operas were one of the art forms which had the strongest appeal to people. Foreign students who went to school in Kunming to study Chinese thought the performance of the opera singers sang with their hearts and the audience heard the voice of the soul of the singers.

Wang told the reporter that the rehearsal went smooth for the high level of the professional artists even though this was the first cooperation. Through the cooperation, the two theaters knew each other better. The future cooperation would be strengthened and the two parties would promote the development of the Asian opera circle.
