In the southwestern mountain foot of Taiyuan city in Shanxi province, there many historical and cultural heritages with the combination of ancient Chinese sacrificing architectures, gardens, statues, cliff paintings and inscription art. Being established in the Western Zhou Period about in the 11th century, Jinci is the ancestral temple constructed for the purpose of sacrificing the duke Ji Yu of Tang State in the Western Zhou Dynasty. The statue group protected in the Goddess Temple broke through the model of the religious statues in the period before Song period, making it the portrayal of the real person.
