Feeling hungry after 4 hours of intensive one-on-one Chinese lessons? Run down to the Keats Cafeteria which is located in the same building as the school and enjoy a great Chinese meal.
Meals are offered as a free service to bring convenience to the students, so students don’t have to rush out for meals if they have classes next. You are not billed for meals, so we are unable to provide a refund if you don’t eat here.
Please note: the free meals come with accommodation at the school. If you find your own accommodation and only take classes at Keats, free meals are not offered, and you can purchase them separately.
No. The meals are only offered Monday to Friday. Students are welcome to join our Saturday excursions and travel on their own during the weekend.
Because the Kunming campus is located in the city center, there are many fancy restaurants in the shopping malls nearby or street food shops in small alleys.
Yes, free meals are only offered at the Kunming campus. For other locations that have beautiful scenery and are famous for their minority culture, you will have many choices for meals to try local food. You will also have the chance to have meals together with your teacher at locations outside of Kunming.
This is my second time coming. Last year, I also came for about 12 weeks. This time I came for 13 weeks of a summer program in China. The reason why I particularly want to come to this school was because of the one-on-one classes. I was able to increase my level and learn Chinese more quickly than in group classes. If I have a chance again to come next year, I certainly will.
I come to Kunming because I think the environment in Kunming is better and I heard that Keats School is better. I like the small group Chinese class because my classmates study hard and our teachers are very good. I like the teaching method of Keats because I like the activities at Keats. I think Yunnan is a particularly beautiful Chinese province.
I found Keats School and I am so glad that I did. When you learn Chinese in China at Keats, you are fully being taken care of. My teacher is really great and we become lovely friends.
Kunming is a great place to learn Chinese in China because not many Chinese on the street speak English. Keats has been a great school for me and a lot of other foreigners who studied in China recommended it to me. I think they are all right. The study method here is really structured. They make learning Chinese really easy. There are also a lot of cultural and natural places to visit.
I decided to learn Chinese in Kunming because I like smaller cities and I like the climate here. We had four hours a day study here and my dear teacher taught me very much and never lost her patience with me. It was a really wonderful experience to be here and I recommend Keats school and the teachers here to everyone who likes to learn Chinese in China.
My first semester that I studied at another school, and the pressure there was pretty high, the classroom hour was long, and the homework was pretty tedious. Since I came to Keats, I found I have a lot more opportunities to speak in the classroom. My classmates all are fluent and love speaking and participating in the class. We have great classroom dynamic.
I have been to Keats School to learn Chinese for 4 times now. The reason for coming back to this school is pretty much that the teachers I did work with were very good Chinese teachers. I make it a 5-year plan or even a 10-year plan to come back to this school. All the teachers have methods of looking at what your skills are. They are aware of at what level you are. I think it is worth for everyone.
In the one-to-one intensive Chinese course, you can choose the learning method you like. The small group Chinese class in China at Keats follows the HSK textbook. Teachers often collect feedback from the students, teachers listen to our requirements and opinions. I felt that my oral level is better than before .
