Ms. Manyu Zhao has been teaching Chinese at Keats for more than one year now. Recently, Ms. Zhao unexpectedly met one of her French students she taught last year at Keats. They were very excited to see each other again at Keats and asked about life at Keats and life back in France. Of course, as a professional Chinese teacher, the question Ms. Zhao mostly concerned about was whether her student’s Chinese got improved or not. Fortunately, Ms. Zhao could tell from their conversations that her student’s Chinese was getting better and better. The student told Ms. Zhao that she became more confident when speaking Chinese after learning with Ms. Zhao and now came back to Keats to improve her Chinese again.
Having worked at Keats for over 1 year, Ms. Zhao has taught a great number of students. Recently, she also participated in the training to teach HSK. Ms. Zhao told us that she learned so much while working at Keats. Firstly, the most obvious improvement she made is her teaching skills. One great feature about working at Keats is that we offer on-going training. No matter how experienced the teacher is, he/she is required to attend our on-going training regularly in order to keep him/her refreshed and improved step by step. Being able to design a class that would meet the student’s expectation and requirement, Ms. Zhao is skilled to teach all levels and her highly satisfaction rate makes her very proud of herself. Coming from all over the world, Ms. Zhao’s students also taught her a lot of their cultures. As Ms. Zhao becomes an International expert, she is more confident about her future as a Chinese teacher.
Now Ms. Zhao finally realizes why so many graduates in Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language want to work at Keats and why Keats has so many returning students.
Lastly, Ms. Zhao told us that she will be working at Keats continuously because she can make improvement in teaching and professional life through working at Keats. Furthermore, she hopes to help more foreign students to learn Chinese in China more effectively and help promote one principle that she strongly believes: learning Chinese can be as easy as you can think of.
