Today, Keats students and teachers were so lucky to enjoy Rachel’s cakes again. This no longer surprises us as Rachel always brings us excellent food that she makes by herself at home. Rachel has brought us home-made cookies, whole wheat bread, and lemon waffles. The most impressive one she made for us was a chocolate cake shaped like Yin Yang in Chinese Daoism. This cake impressed us not only because of its creative appearance, but also due to its unbelievable taste. From then on, the students and the teachers in the intermediate class got used to look forward to Rachel’s cake.
At the beginning, we thought that Rachel just simply likes making delicious food. However, just until today, she told us the real reason: she likes her life in Kunming so much and making cakes is a way of enjoying her life!!
Rachel came to study Chinese in China at Keats from this February. When she registered online before she came, Rachel was a little bit worried about her life in Kunming. Rachel’s had many questions in mind, such as whether she would have a good relationship with the teacher and other classmates, whether she would adapt to the life in Kunming, whether she could make great progress in learning Chinese and so forth. All these questions made Rachel uncertain about her life in Kunming.
Many questions, but satisfied results. Rachel told us that once she saw the school, all questions were gone and she was fully released. Keats School in real looks cleaner and more beautiful than it is showed on the website. She suddenly had an impulse that she will take the greatest advantage of learning Chinese at Keats to enjoy her life in Kunming.
“My roommates are a Chinese couple. They are very kind to me and they take good care of me. I often practice my Chinese with them”, Rachel told us.
Rachel’s classmates in the intermediate Chinese class are from South Korea, Spain, Australia, and France. What Rachel likes most about her class is the humorous learning environment, which helps students learn Chinese in a relaxed and fun way. Coming to Keats to study Chinese every day is more like a friends meeting to share her stories with her friends. That’s the real reason that Rachel always prepares tasty food for her friends at Keats.
Although Rachel comes to study Chinese only 2 hours a day, she sometimes spends the whole day at Keats. Rachel likes reading books at Keats library after class, chatting with other students, Skyping with her family at the Keats computer room or just doing some self-study at a classroom with a cup of tea.
Having learned about Rachel’s exciting life in Kunming, have you thought about relocating in Kunming? As a second home of many Keats students, Keats welcomes any student who wants to learn Chinese in China. Enjoying your life in Kunming does not have to be half a year or a year, simply a few weeks in Kunming would bring you unlimited wonderful memories for a worthwhile holiday.
