Yes, do not be so surprised, as the only state – level water sports center in Yunnan province, there are many training teams living in the place and eating in the dining hall.
However, it is not the traditional kind of dining hall as you see in some schools when you learn Chinese in China. The foods in the Song Mao dining hall have a much better quality than foods outside in other places. Vegetables and meat in Song Mao dining hall is selected according to standards made for Chinese sportsmen. There are no additives and Trans – gene foods there. Fish, chicken and duck are fed in their farmland, and vegetables are planted by staff members from Song Mao dining hall. For those who like natural foods while learning Chinese in China, they can try foods in the dining hall.
When you get to the riverside, you will find kayaks and other equipment are ready. Safety is the most important thing before you and your friends from schools of learning Chinese in China move into the kayaks and Dragon boats. There is a series of life saving facilities in the training base and staff members there will guarantee your safety from the moment you get into the water. There are also couches in the training base to give different lessons to people who go to the Song Mao Reservoir. Kayaking is more difficult to learn than Dragon boat racing. As when you are kayaking, you need many days to learn the skills of keeping balance on the boats. When it comes to Dragon boat racing, it becomes a lot easier. The only thing you need to know during Dragon boat racing is a professional candidate to steer the boat.
Those students who learn Chinese in China and are afraid of water and do not know how to swim will wonder what they could do in Song Mao Reservoir. It is definitely not necessary. Climbing mountains is a good option. You can climb mountains by your own feet, or you can ride a bicycle to the top of the mountain. There is an international race track of mountain bikes along the way. You can ride your bicycle and to see how long it will take to get to the top.
When you get tired after Dragon boat racing and bicycling, you can have some barbecue there in Song Mao Reservoir. The barbecue place has the best soundings all around the world. If you sit there, you will find a roof to shelter rain and sunshine. Looking up and down around the Song Mao Reservoir, you can find green mountains with picturesque scenery.
