Tanhua Temple in Kunming

Yunnan Tanhua Temple is located in the eastern suburb that is two kilometers away in Kunming. Some of the foreign students who study in China may be told that it was originally constructed in Chongzhen period of Ming Dynasty. It got the name because there is a Youtan tree (actually the magnolia in Yunnan) in the garden. Before you go there when you study in China, you should know it was expanded as a park imitating the classical gardens in regions south of the Tangtze River in the year of 1981.

There are three gardens, namely, the front garden, the middle garden and the back garden. If you ever been there when you study abroad in China, you could see the front garden is mainly the original temple. The middle garden is a litter larger where you can see many flowers gardens like gardens of peony, azalea and camellia. Another thing that the foreigners who study in China should know is that there is a tower in the backyard. As high as 48 meters, it is a tower that the tourists can look far into the distance.
