Oriental Mountain is located between the area of Xialu and Tieshan districts in Yellowstone City. The Oriental Mountain is named as the top mountain in Sanchu. The coverage of the Oriental Mountain is 18 square meters and the sea level is more than 470 meters. The Oriental Mountain consists of three main peaks which include the Manqiannao, Lanshengnao and Zoumazhai. The mountain is famous for the history that the renowned writer of Western Dynasty Dongfang Suo has studied there. The Oriental Mountain has a long history and the Buddha culture is prosperous and distant.
The Buddha history starts in Honghua Temple from year 805. It has gone through thousands of years and there are many tourists going there to worship the Buddha. Many foreign students visit there during theirsummer program in China. Many famous monks who have high Buddhism conception live there. 22 temples with large or small scales are scattered among the mountains. There are many interesting places on the Oriental Mountain like the green pine trees, white lotus flowers, iron cattle statue, stone boats flowing on the water and many fountains in the mountain.
There are many hills and peaks in the Oriental Mountain and the sceneries in the hills and peaks are very beautiful. The charming sceneries attract many tourists every year. The temperature there is cool and many tall trees are growing vigorously. The different kinds of flowers bloom in the breeze and the types of the plants are more than tow thousand. The forest coverage of the mountain is more than 90 percent and the temperature is 5 centigrade lower than that below the mountain. It is the suitable and ideal place for avoiding the heat in summer, going sightseeing and recreation. The many different scenic spots make the people unwilling to leave. Many foreign students like to travel there when they study Mandarin Chinese in China.
