It is obvious that the attention of the learner is limited. Especially for the elementary and intermediate learners, the fluency, accuracy and complexness of the language expression are hard to obtain while the learner is paying his attention to the training of the expression of the meaning. Thus, in the daily teaching process, different methods should be utilized to improve the fluency, accuracy and complexness of the language expression training according to the different situations of the students. When the foreign students go to certain place to learn Chinese, the teachers may tell them there are three cultivation methods.
First method is to teach the students step by step. That is to say, when the teachers are organizing the exercises and activities of language expression training, they should divide the teaching process into different steps and stages. The difficulty of accuracy and complexness should go first then the question of fluency. No matter the oral exercises or written homework, they can be decomposed into small paragraphs even the key sentences, grammar and structures. But the method is not applied to every case. When the students have reached a certain level, the teachers can employ the following method.
The method is called the combination of extensive and intensive training. Just as the reading can be divided into extensive reading and intensive reading, the listening teaching can be classified as extensive listening and intensive listening. For many Chinese learning students, the listening comprehension is difficult when they learn Chinese online free. The extensive teaching aims at the speed and fluency of the listening training while the intensive teaching views at the quality of the listening training. For the language expression training, the extensive and intensive training are both needed. Thus, the second method is the combination of the extensive and intensive training teaching.
Let’s move to the third method, namely, the classification of the evaluation standards. When the teachers are conducting the oral or writing training, they can tell the students the main evaluation standard of respective exercise to make the students pay more attention to the evaluation standard. Then through alternate training which focus respective standard, the comprehensive aspects of accuracy, fluency and complexness will be developed.
During the teaching process, the teachers should adopt right method to teach the students well according to the levels of the students.
