At two o’clock in the afternoon of June 15th of Poland time, the opening ceremony of Poland Chengdu Colored Lantern Cultural Tourism Festival and the Chengdu Tourism Promotion was held as scheduled. Many important and relevant leaders from both nations attended to the opening ceremony, including Sun Yuxie, the Chinese ambassador plenipotentiary to Poland, the curator of Warsaw Imperial Wajinji Museum, Tian Qing, the president of Sino-Poland Economic and Cultural Exchange Foundation. In addition, the director of Asia-Pacific department of the Ministry of Foreign Affaires of Poland and the leaders of Chengdu Cultural Tourism Group also attended to the ceremony.
After relevant leaders in Poland gave brief introduction to the local culture and tourism resources in Poland, Chengdu Cultural Tourism Group showed the rich tourism resources and the routes conditions as well as the ethnic customs to the people in Poland tourism area and the public. Just as some of the foreign students who come to learn Chinese in China know, China attaches much attention to the exchange and cooperation in cultural aspect with foreign countries.
After the promotion was finished, Chengdu Cultural Tourism Group signed the Memorandum of Cooperation with Poland in relevant aspects, laying a firm foundation for further tourism cooperation in the next step. In the Chinese Avenue in Warsaw Chopin Garden in Poland, both sides are decorated with the panda lantern groups with unique characteristics and the ethnic customs lanterns, attracting many European people to watch and take pictures.
In addition, many people often go to the Chengdu Tea House Experiencing special area beside the Chinese Avenue to appreciate the Chinese, during which they can also enjoy the fantastic kung fu tea art performance. In this process, they can learn more about Chengdu as well as the special things in Chengdu. Another attracting performance for most foreign students who study in China should be the Chengdu ethnic song and dance opera named “Hometown of Panda—Auspicious Heaven”. It is attracting because the ethnic art in Sichuan Province is combined with the song and dance performance.
The performance with unique technique was also arranged in the whole performing procedure, each fantastic moment wins a series of applause and praise from the audiences. At that moment, the charm of Chengdu shows great influence to the whole world. After the holding of this festival, more European people will know more about Chengdu, thus attracting more people to visit Chengdu, promoting the development of tourism.
