The words “同心同德, 至亲至诚” means working with one heart and one mind, and treating people with complete sincerity.

Your HSK preparation program in China will show you that since the 1980s, Brothers’ Jiang has successfully turned into a famous enterprise in catering industry from a small street snack bar.

When asked about how Brothers’ Jiang was built, the elder brother Jiang Yong talked with those who took internships in China. The Brothers’ Jiang was first established with the capital of only 2,000 Yuan. Jiang Yong said that he was the fifth old child of the family, and Brothers’ Jiang was set up by Jiang Yong and his younger brother, who was the sixth old child of the family. When talking to those listeners, Jiang Yong’s Hong He accent had never changed even if he had left Hong He for many years.

Jiang Yong had also introduced to those who took part in volunteer programs in China that his family was from the city of Meng Zi in Yunnan province. There were 6 children in his family. He and Jiang Jun joined the “Unemployed Youth Team” after they graduated from junior high school. In 1983, their father gave them 2,000 Yuan and they started to do some small business.

They set up a temporary shop of 20 square meters near the local railway station. Their shop named “Railway Snack” as first, and then they started to sell cross-bridge rice noodle and fast food. Later, they changed the name of “Railway Snack” into “Genuine Meng Zi Cross-bridge Rice Noodle” you knew from Chinese learning programs in the city of Kunming.

How they came to set business in the city of Kunming was the question that every Chinese leaner who traveled to study Mandarin Chinese in Kunming wanted to ask. It was because later after that, Meng Zi railway station was reconstructed and they did not have any place to open a selling store.

After a period of relaxing and resting, Jiang Yong and Jiang Jun traveled to Kunming to see if there was any chance of selling cross-bridge rice noodle in the city of Kunming. After days of checking, they found Kunming people loved cross-bridge rice noodle just as those foreign students know when they study in China. Thus, Jiang Jun and Jiang Yong decided to open shops in Kunming.

The first selling shop was opened at Xiao Xi Men by Jiang Jun and he found it sold well. His brother Jiang Yong set up the second one in Qing Nian Road. They need get up early in the morning and worked late till midnight. Seeing more and more people came to order foods in their own selling shops, both of them were becoming more and more confident. Some students would be surprised how they joined together while they study Chinese in Kunming.

Jiang Yong signed a renting contract with the landlord for five years, but the landlord did not keep his words and decided to raise the rent fee. Jiang Yong could not pay for it, so he and his brother moved together to open a new shop.
