A man was staying at his father-in-law’s house very much beyond his time. one day, the impatient father-in-law finally said to him:
“It’s nice of you to have come a long way to visit us. Now that all our fowls have been butchered, there are no more delicacies we cam entertain you with. I hope you won’t mind.”
Too thick-skinned to heed the gentle hint, the son-in-law replied: “Dad, don’t you worry. The day I got here, I saw in the valley a herd of fat deer. Why not catch some and have them roasted. The venison will surely last us for many days.”
“But, it’s been over a month since you came. The deer must have left.” protested the father-in-law.
“I guess not,” replied his son-in-law. “Where there is a good feed, one is reluctant to leave.”
