Our free Chinese lesson today is going to talk about a difference between two words “包含” and “包括” for you to study Chinese better.

Maybe these two words are too abstract for students who want to study Chinese. We will make the conception clear. Imagine we have A, B, C three circles. If A and B circles are inside the C circle, we can say that C “包含” A and B. If A and B circles are not inside the C circle but belong to C, we can say that C “包括” A and B.

The following model sentences can help you study Chinese in context.

EG：我们学校的小班包含中级班和高级班。(wǒ men xué xiào de xiǎo bān bāo hán zhōng jí bān hé gāo jí bān.)

汉语学习包含听说和读写。(hàn yǔ xué xí bāo hán tīng shuō hé dú xiě.)

济慈学校的课程包含小班和一对一两种。(jì cí xué xiào de kè chéng bāo hán xiǎo bān hé yí duì yì liǎng zhǒng.)

昨天老师说了三句话，包括你好和谢谢。(zuó tiān lǎo shī shuō le sān jù huà ， bāo kuò nǐ hǎo hé xiè xiè.)

你在济慈学校交的钱包括学费、吃饭和住宿。(nǐ zài jì cí xué xiào jiāo de qián bāo kuò xué fèi 、 chī fàn hé zhù sù.)

大学里的专业包括英语、法语和国际贸易等。(dà xué lǐ de zhuān yè bāo kuò yīng yǔ 、 fá yǔ hé guó jì mào yì děng.)
