After 2 weeks‘ Mandarin study at Keats School, our German students had an outdoor class with their teachers. They had a very good class and also a good time on that class. They went to a local vegetable market to experience Chinese culture. It was really helpful and interesting to practice Chinese in the real market with their teachers and local people.
The teachers helped them to ask price and try to bargain with the sellers. They found that the Chinese sellers understood what they said and those sentences were studied and practiced in the Mandarin courses at Keats. They were really happy about this. However, it was not the first time for them to feel the progress since they have been studied at Keats. Also they found many interesting foods in the vegetable market, like tofu, Chinese cabbage, Chinese onion and so on.
To their surprise, they learned lots of things outside with Keats‘ teachers. And now they think it is really fun to study Mandarin at Keats school.
